Our client contacted us reporting that there was excessive build up of dryer lint in their facility’s dryer, which could potentially cause harm to their property.
Dryer cleaning
We proceeded with the task of clearing up the dryer in order to get their facility's life back in working order.
- Attend site to inspect dryer performance.
- Perform pre-work Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and confirm WHS compliance.
- Test heating element and confirm operation.
- Measure current draw and record approximately 18 amps, within manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect ducting and airflow.
- Identify excessive lint build-up within dryer and ducting.
- Clean internal components and vacuum all ducting to restore airflow.
- Reassemble unit.
- Re-energise and test operation.
- Confirm dryer operating correctly.
- Advise that existing semi-rigid ducting is suitable, however recommend routine servicing approximately every six months to prevent recurrence of performance issues.
- Leave site clean and defect free.
